Joining our launch waitlist
When you join the waitlist, you are asking us to email you about the launch of Susie & Louie. We use your email address only for launch-related emails. We will not use the waitlist to send unrelated marketing.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- The date and time you joined.
- A record of where you signed up (this page).
We do not ask for your name, address or payment details to join the waitlist.
How we use it
- To send you emails about our launch.
- To keep a record of any request to unsubscribe.
- To let our team know that someone new has joined the waitlist.
- To prevent repeated or automated submissions.
You can unsubscribe from launch emails at any time. We keep a minimal opt-out record where necessary to respect your request not to receive marketing.
Who processes your information
Shopify stores your email address and subscription status as a customer record in our store, and is used to send launch emails.
Make transfers signup information between the website and Shopify. Its processing history may contain your signup details for a limited period.
Our email delivery provider delivers an internal notification email to our team containing your email address and signup time. This notification is also held in our team’s email mailbox.
Our website hosting provider hosts this website and handles the signup request. The signup system uses a short-lived, scrambled identifier to help block duplicate submissions, which is deleted automatically.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or other appropriate safeguards.
Unsubscribing and deleting your information
Unsubscribing stops launch emails. Every launch email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us. When you unsubscribe, we keep your email address with a note that you have opted out, so that we do not email you again by mistake.
To request deletion, email hello@susieandlouie.com. We will respond within one month and delete information we no longer need, subject to any lawful reason to retain it. We may keep a minimal opt-out record solely to respect your request not to receive marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist-only records for no longer than 12 months from the date you join. If our launch emails finish sooner, we delete those records within three months of the final launch email, unless we have a lawful reason to retain them.
We keep only the minimum information needed to respect an unsubscribe for as long as it is necessary to prevent further marketing. We review that need regularly. Any separate customer or purchase records are subject to their own retention requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@susieandlouie.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
